EMC is seeking a Complex Casualty Claims Manager to lead a team overseeing high-severity commercial casualty claims. The role involves providing strategic direction on coverage, liability, valuation, and resolution while managing defense counsel and controlling loss costs. The position focuses on coaching a high-performing team and enhancing relationships with agents and insureds.
Leads a complex casualty claims team and oversees high-severity commercial claims. Assigns claims and provides strategic direction on handling, coverage, liability, and resolution. Selects and manages defense counsel, monitors litigated matters, and ensures accurate reserving. Sets performance goals, coaches team members, and conducts performance reviews.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience. 10 years of experience in casualty claims adjusting, including large and complex claims. Prior leadership experience and attainment of applicable state licenses. Valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle report.
Insurance designations such as INS, AIC, and CPCU preferred.
Eligible to work from home anywhere in the US.
