The Hamrin Block is comprised of 535 km2 and contains one producing field. The Hamrin field produces oil primarily from the Tertiary (Miocene) reservoirs — the Jeribe and Euphrates formations — with the Dhiban formation as a secondary reservoir. Position Summary The Vehicle Fleet Supervisor is responsible for managing the Hamrin Field vehicles. Performs organizational and management tasks to monitor, sustain and enhance HKN’s transportation processes. Main Duties & Responsibilities Oversees field vehicle fleet operations (focus on non-security related) so that vehicles and drivers are being utilized in a safe and cost-effective manner. Coordinate vehicle and convoy movements through checkpoints, in line with Security guidance on routes, timing, and escort requirements Support vehicle/transport logistics for ongoing camp construction and material deliveries (cabins, fencing, equipment) as Hamrin Base Camp is stood up. Liaise with local vendors and workshops near Hamrin Field for repairs, ensuring parts and service quality meet HKN specifications. Ensure vehicle documentation and registration comply with local KRI/Iraqi regulatory requirements. Maintain fuel supply contingency planning given regional fuel availability constraints Coordinate with Field Security on emergency evacuation vehicle readiness Oversees the vehicle/driver supply rental contracts, insurance records and driver training records. Coordinates allocation of field vehicles to HKN personnel in a reasonable/cost effective manner that meets the needs of the operation. Maintains inventory of all HKN owned and contractor rented vehicles. Ensure regular maintenance on all vehicles. Maintain detailed records of vehicle servicing and inspection. Provide reports to management on budgeting, schedules, maintenance, and fleet progress. Provide reports on fleet’s performance and expenses and costs of fleet operations. Ensure drivers receive proper training to uphold safe driving standards. Maintain constant communication with drivers. Maintain the overall standard and condition of vehicles through regular washing and cleaning. Train drivers on safety standards and risk management protocols. Ensure health, safety and environmental standards are achieved and managed. Focused on light motor vehicles carrying goods and personnel (i.e. not heavy vehicles). Assist Field Security with security contractor and OPF vehicle management as required. Liaise with local vehicle repairers and dealers as required. Minimum Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in supervisory role. Fluent in English (written & spoken). Familiarity and working knowledge in vehicle maintenance and requirements. Solid understanding of vehicle diagnostics and troubleshooting. Experience required with budgeting and/or project management. Education degree of accounting or administration is preferable. Competency in various computer application systems including MS Office experience and skills in Word and Excel, also the ability to read technical manuals. Ability to manage a multitask of demand and challenges. Strong communication, coaching and leadership skills. Patience, flexibility and be able to adapt as required to get the job done.
